After more than 10 hours of flight, Sherry Zhu arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on March 24, kicking off her journey of “Becoming Chinese”.

Sherry, whose Chinese name is Zhu Xirui and rooted from Zhejiang, is a Chinese American content creator on TikTok who sparked the viral “becoming Chinese” trend overseas. She began sharing short videos on Chinese lifestyle and wellness since last December, inspiring many overseas viewers to follow.
