中国-拉共体论坛正式运行十年来取得丰硕成果，无数中拉青年投身中拉合作之中。在中国-拉共体论坛第四届部长级会议期间，莎拉应邀重返中国，来到北京参访。她从北京前门大街出发，沉浸式体验非遗技艺、中华美食与传统文化，近距离感受中国发展与中华文化的独特魅力。

在北京，她的镜头不仅记录风景，更在用心解码文化——从共建“一带一路”倡议背后的合作共赢，到中特关系中那些“容易迷失在翻译里的细节”，再到她如何以自身优势和跨文化视角，架起中外沟通的桥梁。“我们不再处于试验阶段，而是在共同建设未来。”

在莎拉看来，当代青年应成为真正的“文化翻译官”，在不同文明之间架桥铺路，推动理解与共赢。

From Miss World to BRI: Sarah Decodes China in a Vlog

“Many people praise China, but few truly explain it.” Meet Sarah Jane Waddell from Trinidad and Tobago - a quarterfinalist at Miss World 2014 in London who has spent the past three years working at China Railway Construction (Caribbean) Co., Ltd. (CRCCCL).

As the China-CELAC Forum marks ten fruitful years since its official launch, countless young people from China and Latin America have become active contributors to this partnership. During the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, Sarah was invited back to China for a visit to Beijing. She starts her journey in Beijing’s historic Qianmen Street, diving into traditional crafts, local delicacies, and the rich heritage of Chinese culture - experiencing a China that is both modern and deeply rooted in its traditions. But Sarah’s Vlog is more than just scenic shots and street food. It’s about decoding culture.

From the mutual benefit at the heart of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), to the subtle nuances of China-Trinidad and Tobago relations that are often “lost in translation,” she draws on her strengths and cross-cultural perspective to help build a bridge of understanding between peoples.
